Ventilatory polygraphy (ambulatory).
Home-based non-invasive recording of respiratory and cardiovascular signals for sleep apnea screening and diagnosis.
Overview
Non-invasive examination performed at home to diagnose sleep-disordered breathing, mainly sleep apnea syndromes. This test records respiratory and cardiovascular parameters during the night using a small portable device.
Ambulatory polygraphy is often used when clinical probability is high and full polysomnography is not initially required, or as a follow-up tool. Our team provides setup instructions and validates signal quality before interpretation.
Advantages
- Performed in your own bed.
- Compact device fitted at the clinic or with instructions.
- Useful for apnea screening and therapy monitoring.
- Organized quickly when clinically appropriate.
Limitations
Some complex cases still require in-lab polysomnography. Your physician will recommend the appropriate tier of testing based on symptoms and comorbidities.
